ICT Baseline Training

All children must be prepared for the 21st Century, and Infocommunication Technology is an integral part of being a 21st Century Ready Citizen.

Our education system must produce citizens who are technology capable. To live, learn and work successfully in an increasingly complex and information-rich society, students must use technology effectively. In Palm View, students undergo compulsory ICT lessons with the aim of equipping them with the necessary skills to support them in learning and preparing them for future needs. The ICT lessons designed are in alignment with the MOE-prescribed Baseline ICT Standards. These standards are a basic set of ICT skills developed to enable all students to have the necessary ICT learning experiences in schools. Broadly, the ICT skills are categorised into the following areas to support students' learning.
